Autumn in New England; the trees are waves of orange and red, and there's a slight chill in the air.
It's our favorite time of year, and Halloween makes the season even better. We hope everyone
had a sufficiently spooky Samhain. Let's get on to the news then, yes?

Our recent show in Charlottesville was simply amazing. It was a pleasure meeting so many wonderful
people, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thanks go out to Chad from The Dawning for being
such a gracious host, and Gabe from Hindu Pez for sharing the stage with us - good people all.
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, and he will be bringing you another visit from CN2R soon.

Speaking of shows, don't forget that we'll be performing at The Skybar in Somerville, MA, this Thursday, November 3rd. We haven't been out to the Boston area since supporting Letters Never Sent, and we're looking forward to catching up with everyone.

Here's some quick news for everyone. First up, we're pleased to announce the addition
of Electromantic to the Radio Free Abattoir online audio and digital download service. You
can purchase all Electromantic tracks individually or the album as a whole from RFA.

We're also pleased to report that Electromantic has been added to the distribution catalog
of DSBP Records. We'll have more information on that in the coming weeks.

But right now we have to hit the road for Virginia. We hope to meet as many of you as possible
at this weekend's show in Charlottesville at The Dawning. More to come, so stay tuned...

Thanks to everyone who made it down to the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT on Saturday to catch our set at Goth Stock. It was a pleasure finally being able to share Electromantic live, and it was an even greater pleasure seeing some familiar faces in the crowd.

It was a whirlwind weekend; we made some new friends and had the chance to see some incredible sets from some amazing bands (Combichrist, Sister Kill Cycle, and Butcherpriest immediately come to mind). Thanks again to all the staff for making the festival such an event to remember.

It's been a busy month; we're making final preparations for our return to the stage.
The tour is taking shape with confirmed stops in Connecticut, Virginia,
and Massachusetts so far, with a slew of other dates in the works.

In album news, Electromantic is now available for online ordering through CDBaby.com.
And don't forget about the huge merch sale going on at the CN2R store.

Hello everyone. Sorry that we haven't been in touch since May, but the last month has been extremely hectic. What have we been up to you ask? Well on to the news...

We're happy to report that as you read this, Electromantic is now being duplicated. Yes, after months of hard but enjoyable work, the final step in the creation of our new CD is finally underway. Over the past few months we've been working night and day on the album artwork, trying to ensure that the visual impact of the CD packaging suited the overall feel of the audio tracks. We think that we've pulled it off, but why don't you judge it for yourselves. Here it is, the cover of our new release...

So there it is. Copies of the new CD are being made in Canada, and we should have a projected release date for you very soon. As always, we'll post more information as soon as we have it.

In web news, our back catalog is now available for digital download through iTunes, so go fill up your iPod!

In music news, we've recently completed remixing a track for our friends Circus Of Dead Squirrels. 'Death Saves The Derelict [Sex Slaves The Heretic Mix by Collapse into Reason]' will be appearing on the CODS remix disc, Outdoor Recess, set for an October release. Also contributing remixes to the disc will be Out Out, Veincage, Mark Alan Miller, H_Tech, Microwaved, Tragedie Ann & Intricate Unit, among others. Pick up a copy when it comes out!

"In show news..." You've been waiting a while to hear that one now haven't you? Well the wait is almost over. That's right people, the finished disc is almost in our hands, the multimedia work is almost complete, and that means it's almost time for us to hit the stage and perform. We're starting to put together touring plans for late summer / early fall, and right now we have one date that we're extremely excited to share with you. We've been booked to appear at Goth Stock along with The Crüxshadows, Bella Morte, Ego Likeness, Genitorturers, The Last Dance, Carfax Abbey, Anders Manga, Seraphim Shock, DJ Ian Fford, and many, many, more. This is a two-day festival that will be held on Saturday & Sunday, September 24th - 25th. The show is all ages and runs from noon until 2 AM both days. Tickets are $35 for a single day pass or $50 for a two day pass, and can be purchased through tickets.com or at the Webster box office. We'll be performing on The Goth Stock stage (in the Webster Theater, not the Webster Underground) on the 24th, and we'll be going on early in the day, so make sure you get there on time. We hope to see you all there!

In album news, work is steadily progressing on the artwork for Electromantic.
We're hoping to have the new album ready for release by late spring/early summer.
Stay tuned to CN2R.com for a sneak peek of the album art!

Seeing as work on the new album is nearing completion, our primary focus of late has
been finishing up production on the live video footage we've incorporated into our stage show.
The new live show promises to be an event not to miss, and we can't wait to get out and
start performing for you all again!

In web news, we've recently gotten the ball rolling on digital distribution of the CN2R catalog.
Our second album, Letters Never Sent, is now available for digital download from MP3Tunes.com,
which is just the first of many digital download sites (such as Apple iTunes, MusicMatch, MusicNet,
MSN Music, Napster, Rhapsody, Sony Connect, etc.) that will be carrying the CN2R catalog very soon.

Our last bit of news this month directly involves you, as we could really use your help.

There's an upcoming festival in New Haven, CT on August 5th - 7th 2005 called the Black Sun
Goth Festival. It's featuring performances by Bella Morte, Das Ich, Decoded Feedback, Dismantled, Iris, & Razed In Black. They currently have two open slots for bands to fill, and are looking for feedback from the general public on who they should book. We'd love the opportunity to be included in the festival, so if you could take a minute and visit the forum for the event to let them know that CN2R would be a welcome addition to the event line-up we'd be forever indebted.

We'd really appreciate your show of support by helping to get CN2R added to the festival line-up.

This past Wednesday we descended on Peerless Mastering in Newtonville, MA, to master Electromantic.
Mastering is the final crucial step in the making of a record; no matter how much work you put into production,
or how much effort you put into mixdown, mastering can make or break you. We put a lot of thought into where
and with who we wanted to have the new disc mastered, and ultimately we decided that we wanted to have
the new album mastered at Peerless with engineer Jeff Lipton. That name might sound familiar to
some of you, as Jeff mastered our first album. We were really happy with the way that record came out,
and after having heard some work he's done lately (namely the new 2 CD Out Out retrospective
1989-1999: "Hasten the Burning...") we knew that Jeff was the right pair of ears for the job.

It was a long day fueled by many trips to Dunkin' Donuts (as evidenced by the photo below) but we managed
to leave Newtonville at 2 a.m. with blurry eyes and a completed album. Many thanks to Jeff Lipton for juggling
his schedule to squeeze us in and keep us on our schedule, and to co-producer, recording engineer and mixer
extraordinaire Mark Alan Miller for coming along to sort stems and lend his invaluable ears to the process.

Next up: album art, but we'll talk more about that later.

We kicked off the new year by reconvening at Slaughterhouse on the
9th to begin the final mix of 'Electromantic'. We had some last minute
edits to make but we did ultimately manage to get the final
mixes done, on time and within budget no less.

So now that we've finished mixing the tracks, is the album finished?

Unfortunately no, there's much more work yet to be done.
Next up is mastering the disc - but more on that later.
In the meantime, we've posted a couple of the final mixes
on our MySpace Music page for your listening pleasure.
